The Rutgers Cooperative Extension 4-H Youth Development program uses a learn-by-doing approach to enable youth to develop the knowledge, attitudes, and skills they need to become competent, caring, and contributing citizens of the world. This mission is accomplished by using the knowledge and resources of the land-grant university system, along with the involvement of caring adults.
Club Description: Our 4-H club meets at the Mount Olive Public Library, during the 1st & 3rd Tuesday nights of each month at 6:30 PM to 8:00PM, in the Gathering Room. Our club is a family based, youth focused club that works with constructing, launching and recovering model rockets and provides informal inquiry based learning experiences through "hands-on" activities in Astronomy for local children in grades 1st through 13th.
New club members can join our "open" club anytime during the year.
Our club is now supporting the new 4-H initiative SET: Science, Engineering and Technology, in all of our science related activities. This program is free to all local families within the North West Morris County area.
